Ed concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, estate tax, elder law, and Medicaid planning.
Prior to joining Sullivan Estate Law, Ed worked as a Wealth Advisor in the Washington Trust Company’s Wealth Management Division, where he advised high-net-worth clients on various financial planning matters. Ed also practiced corporate law in the private equity group of Locke Lord LLP (now Troutman Pepper Locke LLP) in Providence, where he worked with private equity clients on matters related to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance. During his final year of law school, Ed served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Bruce M. Selya, Senior Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Outside of the office, Ed enjoys bocce, bowling, golf, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He is also an avid gardener and a frequent flyer at the Westerly Town Beach. A lifelong Westerly resident, Ed is an active communicant of the Immaculate Conception parish and a proud member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast Committee. Ed is passionate about carrying on the traditions that his late grandparents brought to the United States from Italy, including, most notably, his family’s annual production of homemade soppressata (i.e., “soupy”).
Ed is a proud alumnus of the University of Rhode Island, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and majored in finance. Ed went on to graduate from Roger Williams University School of Law as valedictorian and was admitted to the practice of law in Rhode Island in 2022.
